- Insufficient airflow: Airflow over the evaporator coil is restricted or insufficient.
- Low refrigerant: Less freon causes the evaporator coil temperature to drop to to freezing.
- Ambient temperature too high: Outdoor temperature is higher than 20 degrees.
How to safely clean the condensing unit – part 1.
The condenser unit releases the heat absorbed by the refrigerant and evaporator coils. If the condenser unit is clogged with dirt or the fins are bent, it will block airflow to the coils and interfere with the heat exchange.
